PSG will have to pay £30m for Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho: report

According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain will have to pay a hefty fee for Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho if they wish to pry him away from Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed Mourinho after Louis Van Gaal‘s shortcomings and the ‘Special One’ has impressed during his short stay so far.

Jose led United to some silverware last season with the club winning the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season in charge.

The former Chelsea boss’ second season has faired better so far with a strong start only bettered by cross-town rivals Manchester City.

However, Old Trafford has been shook after reports emerged of a possible transfer to PSG and rumours only appear to be growing since.

According to the Mirror, the French giants though will have to spend £30m to bring Mourinho over in the upcoming summer.

PSG are monitoring Jose’s contract situation carefully and will only look to get involved should their current manager fail to deliver.

AS Monaco famously won France’s top division title last season and despite the capital club board’s huge disappointment, they stuck with their manager in the hopes he’ll deliver this season.

Unai Emery was tasked with returning his new side to not only Ligue 1 glory but to the latter stages of the Champions League, a competition his bosses crave desperately to win.

United meanwhile will surely be frightened of letting go of the one manager who has brought them relative success since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

With the Red Devils firing so far this season, the club’s board will have to try and solve this issue quickly in order to not distract the current squad, risking the ongoing title challenge.
