Manchester United-linked Antoine Griezmann scored an absolutely spectacular goal for Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The French forward appeared to close to joining Man United last summer, but after FIFA upheld Atleti’s transfer ban, Griezmann committed his future to the La Liga side out of loyalty.
Now, rumours are starting again, with Griezmann admitting a move to Old Trafford is a possibility in the future.
His talent was on obvious show on Wednesday night as he struck a ridiculously good overhead kick to help Atleti beat Italian outfit AS Roma.

Griezmann has been in poor form as of late, leading to frustrations from Atletico’s supporters, still lingering from his “messages of love” to United last summer, as one Spanish newspaper recently dubbed it.
After Griezmann’s rejection in the summer, United quickly moved on and sealed a £75m deal for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku. He’s started his career in Red well, though his form as of late is not quite as stunningly good as when he grabbed 11 goals in his first 10 games for the club.
Do United still want Griezmann, and is he still worth his €100m release clause to United? Last summer, he certainly was. Tonight’s goal of world-class quality shows he probably still is, but the desperation to sign Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial‘s France teammate is slightly less large as during the summer.
