Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba completed his first 90 minutes since his return from injury and fans were satisfied with a decent display from the Frenchman.
Pogba was not his usual silky self vs a stubborn Brighton Hove & Albion side but put in an acceptable shift in a match where most of his teammates disappointed.
Lacklustre describes the whole United performance but Paul was as busy as ever and for a footballer who just recovered from a bad injury, should be happy with his display.
His colleagues however had no excuse and certainly cannot consistently rely on one player, even if that player is the former Juventus man.
The good news is that he can continue building on this performance and fans may not have been thrilled but they were respectable to him.

Zlatan, Pogba, Lukaku, Fellaini, Matic. This game just took a turn towards Space Jam. pic.twitter.com/LWgRRYP8jK

Not a game that will live long in the memory but got what we needed, 3 points and a 90 minute run out for Pogba. Young or Lindelof my MOTM.

Pogba’s quality is well and truly acknowledged now by all United fans who recognised just how poor their side is without his presence on the field.
His recent injury may not have been good for United but it was certainly a blessing in disguise for a player who’s finally getting the due respect and love from his own fanbase that he deserves.
Even pundits and critics are agreeing that the Frenchman is core to most of what the Red Devils do well and they’ll definitely need him fully fit and raring to go for the rest of the season.
A title challenge is still possible and Paul is central to whether or not it can become a reality but will certainly need more from his underwhelming teammates.
