Jose Mourinho nominated for Premier League ‘Manager of the Month’ award

Jose Mourinho has been nominated for the Barclays Premier League ‘Manager of the Month’ award for November.

Manchester United begun the month with an ignominious 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge but have since claimed comfortable wins over Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Watford and Arsenal, scoring 12 goals in the process.

The Portuguese faces competition from Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte, Jurgen Klopp, Arsene Wenger and Sean Dyche.

You can vote for the big man and stop Arsenal fans from ruining yet another online poll here.

Guardiola will naturally claim this award once again after becoming just the second manager in Premier League history to reach 43 points after just 15 games.

Such an insatiable furore has somewhat paled the significance of Man United’s own superb start to the season. They have more points at this stage of the campaign than the title winning side of 2011 and lie just one point behind the total amassed at this point of Sir Alex Ferguson‘s final campaign in charge.

In other words, they are displaying the domestic form of potential champions, but Guardiola is spearheading something bordering on extraterrestrial.

That said, all bubbles eventually burst, and supporters will expect Mourinho will be there waiting to pounce when it happens.
