Jose Mourinho suggests Manchester City players dive ahead of derby showdown

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was up to no good once more ahead of the club’s derby showdown vs Manchester City.

United travel to the Etihad eight points behind the league leaders and will certainly need a win to keep their title hopes alive.

City meanwhile will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table whilst also claiming the bragging rights to Manchester.

The already fierce rivalry has the added spice brought from Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola clashing together once more.

The pair of rivals are considered to be the best two managers in the world and are talked about in the same vein as the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi debate and it was the Portuguese manager who played the mind games ahead of the fixture.

According to Evening Standard, Jose said: “They are a good team. They defend well, they react well to the moment they lose the ball.

“They have a good dynamic in attack, they have creative movement. They have amazing players, they have a fantastic coach, they have lots of good things.

“If you ask me one thing that I don’t like a lot it’s that they lose their balance very easily. You know, a little bit of wind and they fall.”

Manchester United head into the derby on good form, managing to convincingly beat a respectable Watford away from home and an Arsenal side at the Emirates in back to back matches.

The Red Devils also secured a comeback win vs CSKA Moscow in the Champions League to progress to the knockout stages with relative ease.

Manchester City though struggled and fell to an unexpected defeat against Shakhtar with some pundits claiming that the loss will only make things more difficult for Mourinho’s men.

According to them, City will be fired up and wanting to prove that this recent loss was nothing but a blip on their season’s record.

Either way, on derby days, everything goes out the window and the only thing that matters is how the teams perform on the pitch.
