Manchester United are considering making a move for Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic.x
The Daily Mail suggest the Reds have maintained a watching brief on the 19-year-old, who could cost in excess of £40m if Man United do choose to focus their efforts on him.
Pulisic is already a USA international and is one of the world football’s most highly-rated teenagers after a number of successful seasons in Dortmund’s first team.
The American joined the Bundesliga side in 2015 as a 16-year-old and has previously drawn interest from Liverpool.
United’s rivals made a significant offer for Pulisic last year, but Dortmund held out for a fee of over £35m. United have previously signed Anthony Martial from AS Monaco for around £36m, so are certainly not averse to spending that kind of money on a teenager.
Pulisic is proven to a greater extent than Martial, too, having made 78 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 11 times, already.
Manager Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign a winger and another playmaker, hence consistent links to players like Mesut Ozil, Gareth Bale and Willian as well as young wingers like Pulisic and Bordeaux’s Malcolm.
A move for Pulisic would involve tussling with other top European sides for the forward’s signature. German champions Bayern Munich have been interested in him for some time.
