Manchester United are reportedly preparing a cut-price bid for Real Madrid’s Welsh superstar Gareth Bale.
The talented winger was initially valued at around £90m by the Spanish capital club but a few factors have since decreased his worth.
Bale’s recurrent injury problems at Madrid have seemingly upset the hierarchy at the side with even Zinedine Zidane losing his patience with the player.
It’s fair to say the Gareth’s time at Real has been turbulent to say the least and it appears as though even he is open to the idea of leaving.
Earlier reports linked him back to his former club Tottenham but Jose Mourinho admitted interest in him back in the summer transfer window and is expected to bid for him at the earliest opportunity once more.
According to the Daily Express, Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Gareth Bale for a figure close to £53m, almost half the price they were reportedly asking for back in June.
Mourinho will surely be delighted to hear that the waiting game he was playing has worked out in the end and that he can sign a quality player for what is considered a bargain in modern football.
The Portuguese manager is not unaware of Bale’s recurrent injury problems in the Spanish capital but apparently believes he can solve the issue.
Jose was happy to bring in a specialist to help star Frenchman Paul Pogba recover from his own injury and it’s been previously reported that the former Chelsea boss is willing to do the same for Gareth.
