Jose Mourinho aims to wrap up Gareth Bale transfer by the end of the month: report

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly aiming to complete Gareth Bale’s transfer to Old Trafford by the end of the month.

The star Welsh international has been heavily linked with the club since last summer but nothing transpired in the end.

United interest though hasn’t diminished for him and Mourinho is still keen on getting in a star winger after missing out last summer.

The Portuguese manager publicly stated his intentions to sign a wide-man but failed in doing so, leaving strikers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to play out on the left wing and playmakers Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to feature from the right wing.

With no natural wingers, the Red Devils have looked awfully narrow during matches and have failed to break down stubborn opposition defences.

According to the Daily Express, Jose wishes to sign Gareth by the end of the month having been an admirer of the Welshman for a long time.

Gareth Bale would certainly add quality to the Manchester United team overall but particularly to the wings where he should have the freedom to play on either flank.

At Real Madrid, he’s often had to make do with the right-wing position due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s dominance on the left so perhaps he’ll enjoy being the star of a team.

Despite the obvious talent, fans are rightly concerned with Bale’s fitness issues, particularly since it’s this exact problem that has left Madrid frustrated.

However, Mourinho is reportedly willing to bring in an expert to help with Gareth’s injury problems, much in the same was he has done so for Paul Pogba already.
