Craig Norwood has confirmed that the final touches to Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United will be made today.
Arsenal and Man United reached an agreement for a straight swap deal involving Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Saturday morning, giving the Chile international license to travel up north.
He completed his medical at Carrington on Sunday and was pictured wearing the No.7 United shirt at Old Trafford as part of a video to be released upon his announcement.
And Norwood, the oracle of United Twitter, has confirmed that Sanchez will officially become a United player once he updates his work permit.
The final piece for the Alexis Sánchez transfer to #MUFC is to be completed today, he has to travel out of Manchester to fill in paperwork for an updated work permit. Then all done.

This all began on Thursday 11 January when it was revealed by Fabrizio Romano in the Guardian that United would attempt to sign Arsenal’s biggest goal threat by offering them a confidence sapped Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Back then it still felt that Manchester City had their man, that speculation of a United scoop was just that.
Day by day, however, United wrangled the transfer firmly in their direction, and after a protracted week of negotiations the club has managed to secure Sanchez, one of the Premier League’s finest, for zero pence and the sacrifice of Mkhitaryan, who has not proven his ability to thrive under Mourinho on a regular enough basis.
