Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has reportedly turned down a move to Bayern Munich despite being considered as one of Zinedine Zidane’s disposable players.
The Welshman has had a mixed time at the Spanish capital, once helping the club win silverware whilst at other times finding himself too injured to perform.
In fact, it’s his fitness issues that has reportedly left the Madrid hierarchy to lose their patience with him, ordering Zidane to move him on.
Manchester United’s interest in Bale is no secret with Jose Mourinho publicly declaring that he was a transfer target since the summer.
Although Real deem him as a player whose services are no longer required, it appears as though he’s not willing to leave unless it’s back to England.
According to Caught Offside, Diario Gol report that Gareth has rejected a move to Bayern Munich in the hopes of returning to the Premier League amidst interest from the Red Devils who wish to sign him in the summer.
United have recently completed the signing of star winger Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal but it seems that this hasn’t cooled down talks of the former Tottenham man joining the club either.
Mourinho is said to still be interested in signing Gareth Bale given that he lost a player to the Gunners in the form of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
With the Armenian leaving the club, there’s still room for a winger to join Manchester United and complete the side’s attack.
However, any move will have to wait until the summer with Jose unlikely to splash the cash in a transfer window that’s notorious for it’s raised prices.
