Manchester United’s new signing Alexis Sanchez has sought to clarify his recent comments on Thierry Henry that has enraged Arsenal fans.
The Chilean international had his statement misunderstood, so much so that Henry also had to bring to light what really happened.
Sanchez had referred to the legendary Frenchman in his goodbye message to the Gunners and it seemed to hint that he was inspired by the former striker.
Thierry came out to make things clear by insisting he didn’t tell the new United man to leave the London club in the search for glory.
Alexis himself has realised his comments have been misconstrued and that the former Arsenal player was getting a lot of abuse, forcing him to come out and clear the air.
I want to clarify that Henry never told me to leave the club, it was a personal decision … he LOVES the club and someday it would be nice to see him as the arsenal coach because he loves the club …

The talented winger had originally stated that Thierry Henry had left the Gunners in order to win some silverware and that he was simply following in his footsteps.
Some fans misunderstood it to mean that the Frenchman personally advised Alexis Sanchez to move to Manchester United and leave Arsenal.
The versatile attacker had six months left on his contract before deciding to switch clubs in order to join Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
United initially believed that Sanchez was set to join fierce rivals Manchester City but once there was a hint of the move not being so straightforward, swept in to tempt Sanchez into signing for the club.
It soon became clear that the Red Devils were the only side he wanted to join but Arsenal weren’t going to allow him to move without getting Henrikh Mkhitaryan in return.
