Manchester United fans were full of praise for Romelu Lukaku after his goalscoring display vs Huddersfield in the Premier League.
The Red Devils played hosts as Huddersfield tried to put in a plucky away team performance but it was the Belgian who managed to open the scoring.
United often looked narrow and forced most of their play through the middle but what the Portuguese manager told his team at half time, it worked.
Mourinho must’ve told his players to stay wide and deliver crosses in and it worked with Romelu managing to grab a goal a short time after the break.
Great cross by Juan Mata and a classy finish by Lukaku on the volley, #mufc

Lovely cross by Mata, good run across the front and finish from Lukaku. Deserved for the way United started the second half.

Wondering how United will get the best out of Lukaku? Watch that goal on repeat.

Lukaku with a fine finish to put Manchester United ahead, Belgian barely been in the game and then looks incredibly sharp inside the box. United rewarded for really building pressure after half time.

Romelu Lukaku has often been heavily criticised this season and most of it has been unfair as he’s proven himself time and time again.
The former Everton man does have some attributes he can work on, particularly his first touch and movement but no one can question his finishing ability.
Considering how both Chelsea and Arsenal have invested in the January transfer window in a striker once more, it’s a credit to how he’s been that there was no talk of someone coming in to replace Lukaku.
In fact, if there ever is someone brought into Manchester United, it’d have to be for the sole reason of the resting the Belgian forward.
