Manchester United fans couldn’t be happier with Alexis Sanchez’s after his goalscoring home debut vs Huddersfield in the Premier League.
The Chilean international grabbed the second goal for United in the club’s 2-0 defeat of the relegation candidates at Old Trafford.
Sanchez was fouled in the opposition box and took the resulting penalty but failed to score initially before tapping in the rebound.
Not exactly what he imagined his first goal for the club would be like but it was everything he deserved after an industrious performance.
Having now gotten that out of the way, Alexis can continue focussing on performing for his team and if his first handful of games are anything to go by, United have one hell of a player.
Comfortable for United. Good in the second half. Didn't allow Huddersfield a shot on target. Sanchez impressive on his home debut.

Alexis Sanchez misses a poorly struck penalty but slots in the rebound. Gets a goal on his Old Trafford bow, been Manchester United's best player today.

It’s a credit to Alexis Sanchez’s career and talent that the only concern of his arrival to Old Trafford was whether it would impede Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial‘s development and not whether he’ll perform for his new club.
Fans worries have been somewhat relieved by Jose Mourinho as he reassured everyone that both youngsters are crucial for the team and have a bright future ahead of them.
However, Sanchez’s arrival has actually seen both players either forced into new positions or dropped to the bench as indicated by today’s match.
In fact, part of the reason Martial performed so poorly during the embarrassing loss to Tottenham was that he featured from the uncomfortable right wing.
Whilst Rashford’s form merits him being dropped, Alexis’ domination of the left wing position will surely concern both players and supporters will certainly keep an eye on whether this will continue to happen.
