Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic is reportedly willing to leave the club for Manchester United if one condition is met when the season is over.
The winger was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window but eventually nothing transpired and he remained at the Italian club.
Jose Mourinho publicly discussed his wishes to sign a wide-man and perhaps that didn’t help with negotiations as Inter priced United out of a move.
The Portuguese recently had his dream signing completed though in the form of former Arsenal star and Chilean international Alexis Sanchez.
However, the Red Devils lost Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Gunners in the deal and so perhaps Mourinho still needs reinforcements out wide.
According to Caught Offside, Clacio Mercato have reported that Ivan may be more willing to leave Inter if the Italian club fails to qualify for Champions League football.
Reports of Perisic’s eagerness to leave don’t come as a surprise given that he was presumably promised European football to remain at the club during the summer window.
However, with the Serie A surprisingly competitive and unpredictable this season, it makes sense to hear of this apparent warning from him.
Whether Manchester United reignite their interest in the Croatian is yet to be seen but given that his versatility, Mourinho may be tempted.
Capable of playing on either wing or as a striker, Ivan Perisic’s ability to use both feet is surely useful with any future at Old Trafford likely to come from the right flank.
