Anthony Martial has won Manchester United’s ‘Player of the Month’ award for January following another string of lethal attacking displays.
The Frenchman, who won the award for September earlier this season, scored the club’s first goal of 2018 – and his ninth of the season – during a 2-0 win over Everton.
And he added two more goals to his tally soon after, unleashing a superb strike against Stoke City and scoring the winner against Burnley, alongside claiming two assists.
Martial has been duly handed the award once again, demonstrating emphatically that he is having his finest season yet in a Man United shirt.

The 22-year-old has garnered a form of adulation from supporters that no other attacking player at the club can match. He is, for instance, the third most popular footballer in China behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – an astonishing feat for somebody only in his third season playing regular football at the highest level.
And yet, at the same time, I’m hardly surprised: Martial is essentially the coolest person on the planet, always slightly detached from the occasion, short sleeves and gloves, ready to make a mockery of your right back and provide that one killer blow turns a game in Man United’s favour.
The Frenchman oozes pure precision, composure, bags of quiet confidence, and goals. He is United’s silent killer. And no, Arsenal, you definitely can’t have him.
