Manchester United fans couldn’t hold back their displeasure over Paul Pogba‘s performance vs Sevilla in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The Frenchman only came on as a substitute but did enough (or didn’t do enough) to frustrate supporters even more than they already were.
It was shocking enough to lose 2-1 to the poor Spanish side at Old Trafford but Pogba’s display shocked fans even more.
The former Juventus man was brought onto the field to change the game for his team but did so only in a negative light.
Paul currently looks a shadow of the player that he was or can be and it makes sense now why Jose Mourinho has dropped him recently.
I have no idea what’s going on with Pogba, but he looks a shadow of his former self. Can barely do anything right at the moment. Was dreadful when he came on.

Ben Yedder came off the bench and made instant impact for Sevilla.
Paul Pogba came off the bench and he looked like a farmer. He couldn't even make easy passes.

We looked significantly more secure when McTominay partnered Matic vs Liverpool. I know he’s not match-fit, but we actually deteriorated when Pogba came on. That’s the stage for him to shine at 0-0 on a big night. Keano would’ve hurt his own teammates on the pitch tonight #MUFC

Don’t want to get on Pogba’s case because there are plenty who do that already but tonight it’s hard to ignore how poor he was. Maybe not fit? But not sure that’s an excuse for so little effort and misplacing passes over five yards ????????♂️ He’s so much better than this.

To be fair. When Pogba came on he changed the game ????

Pogba is not even interested . Is he ?

While the entire result doesn’t solely rest on the midfielder’s shoulders, he didn’t have the kind of impact both fans and Mourinho hoped for.
The Portuguese manager spent a then world record fee on Paul Pogba in the hopes of building the team around him but that’s currently not working out.
Rather than giving his manager answers, the academy product is posing some serious questions as concerns continue to grow from supporters.
The talent is certainly there and the question initially was how can Jose bring the best out of Pogba but recent performances has not solved the issues.
The former Chelsea boss has played the 24 year old in his apparently preferred 4-3-3 formation to no avail with him failing to influence matches under any circumstances of late.
