Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku has admitted his expectations that the club will be busy in the upcoming summer transfer window.
This summer the World Cup in Russia begins which is often a time of transfer madness as players step up their game for the highly reputable tournament.
United will surely aim to conclude their business early to avoid inflated prices after the tournament ends and it’s fair to say there will be a few ins and outs.
There’s a general consensus that managers often need three seasons to truly transform their sides into their image and the same can be said for Jose Mourinho.
While he’s already made some impressive transfers, there are still some stars leftover from David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal‘s era.
This means it’s not farfetched to agree with Lukaku that there will be a number of new players arriving in the summer, the question is just who.
Mourinho has already publicly stated that he’s happy with his attackers and does not feel the need to focus on strengthening that department.
In fact he invited the media to create rumours on other positions instead such as the midfield or defence that actually does need some work.
