Manchester United fans will be interested to learn that Tottenham have finally set a price tag on Toby Alderweireld ahead of interest from Europe’s top clubs.
Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in the Belgian and with Spurs actually making it clear how much money clubs need to part with their money to buy him makes things simpler.
The Portuguese manager is reportedly going to completely revamp his defence in the upcoming summer transfer window and believes Alderweireld represents the ideal signing.
Not only is he a talented player in his peak but he’s also a player with Premier League experience, making him a more attractive option for United.
Whether the centre-back would actually leave his club is yet to be seen but there’s talk of him unwilling to renew his current contract.
According to Inside Futbol, Het Laatste Nieuws report that the London club are ready to let go of Toby this summer and have set a price tag of €50m.
However, reports claim that Mourinho is hoping to sell off Smalling and potentially Jones with Tuanzebe a back up option and Fosu-Mensah used as a full-back.
Toby Alderweireld would then have a spot in Manchester United’s back four and would strengthen one of their weaker departments.
