Manchester United reportedly believe that they can sign Chelsea star Willian in the upcoming summer transfer window ahead of the World Cup.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho‘s arrival but the rumours have heated up once more.
With Antonio Conte’s future uncertain at Stamford Bridge, a host of their stars look set to leave with Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois the most high profile cases.
The Italian manager has been touted to restore his nation back to it’s former elite status but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
However, United have seemingly gotten enough of a hint to believe that the move could now seriously happen in a way that’s rather similar to how the Nemanja Matic transfer happened.
According to Sports Mole, the Sun report that the Red Devils believe a deal for Willian is on and think that a deal could be concluded for £30m.
Mourinho initially believed that Matic was not for sale but got word that the move could happen and instantly snapped him up.
It appears that Manchester United have also heard something similar on the versatile attacker and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Portuguese manager raided his former club once more.
The report also claims that Willian is seen as the ideal replacement for Juan Mata who Jose is apparently keen on offloading.
The Spaniard has proven his importance to United of late and despite making close to 30 appearances across all competitions this season is still considered disposable.
