Craig Bellamy has admitted his frustration with Manchester United star Anthony Martial as reports continue to rise on his potential departure.
The Frenchman has reportedly turned down a contract offer and is keen to move on in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Martial is a bit of a fan favourite and there will certainly be uproar should he leave but no one will wish to force him to stay either.
Jose Mourinho is said to be frustrated with the former AS Monaco man due to his concentration levels and intensity in training.
Bellamy though has ignored the transfer speculation and simply focuses on Anthony’s ability, seemingly suggesting he’s inconsistent.
According to the Sport Review, Craig said to Sky Sports: “I like him [Martial] but he frustrates me. I watch him and I’m thinking ‘please use your pace, go on the outside for once’.
“He has all that ability. To play out wide for Mourinho is a difficult job, he asks a lot, especially going the other way.”
Before speculation got out of control Anthony Martial was said to hope for an improved contract to be on offer from United.
However, a contract never came despite the club tying down Marcos Rojo to a few more years and it seems that things have kicked off since.
Some sections of supporters believe Martial doesn’t have any intention to leave and is simply gunning for a better contract.
After all, it’s unlikely that any of the clubs that are into him can truly offer him more game time than he already gets with the Red Devils.
Juventus are said to be interested but Anthony would certainly struggle to break into their starting XI as well, not to mention how highly rated he already is at Old Trafford.
His desire for more game time will certainly have to come with more consistency as so far in his career he’s only show spells of great form.
