Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez has lauded his new employer’s history and claimed it’s at a ‘world level’ in comparison to other clubs.
The Chilean made the move to Old Trafford from Arsenal in January as he was involved in a straight swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way.
The Armenian failed to impress under Jose Mourinho and so he was sacrificed in United’s bid to sign Sanchez from the Gunners.
The former Barcelona star initially struggled to make an impact on his arrival but has been steadily growing in his performances of late with him putting in a man of the match performance vs Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Alexis may have just revealed what made him sign for the Red Devils and it’s certain to please supporters, particularly the ones at Old Trafford.
Arsenal are no slouchers in terms of their history as well but Manchester United do have more behind them in terms of trophies and status.
Alexis Sanchez will feel his decision to switch has been justified as Mourinho’s men look set to qualify for Champions League football and potentially finish second place while the London club may only qualify for the Europa League.
