Alexis Sanchez: Wembley brings me good luck

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez has admitted that Wembley does bring him luck, referring to the goals he’s scored there with various teams.

The Chilean has a growing reputation of performing in the famous London stadium and believes it could be a factor in the club’s clash with Chelsea in the upcoming FA Cup final.

United beat Tottenham in the semi-final to secure their spot in the final and were deserved winners having completed an impressive comeback.

The London club scored first through Delle Alli after a turbulent first twenty minutes by Jose Mourinho‘s men but Sanchez did equalise before half time.

Ander Herrera grabbed the winner after the break and the Red Devils cruised for the rest of the match with relative ease.

According to ESPN, Alexis said: “The truth is that I score every time I play at Wembley. I have won several trophies there … with Arsenal. With Chile, I also scored two goals and that means a lot to me.

“Wembley brings me good luck. We are very happy to have reached the final. I think Saturday’s match was the most perfect one since I joined United, and that makes me very happy for what lies ahead.”

Manchester United fans certainly need Alexis Sanchez to pull off one more Wembley performance so that they can get their hands on a trophy.

The former Barcelona star can help his side to their only trophy of the season which will help mask the frustrations in the Premier League.

United are not happy with how fierce rivals Manchester City look on course to becoming record breakers having already been crowned champions.
