The Frenchman’s future has been up in the air since his reported clash with Jose Mourinho though the pair of them have since denied any friction.
Pogba has insisted their relationship is professional and there aren’t any problems between them though it doesn’t appear friendly either.
Mourinho used the term ‘personal problem’ when he denied any animosity meaning the problem could simply be a tactical one or a consistency issue.
Either way, Neville clearly feels that despite both parties denying reports of any problems, it doesn’t necessarily mean Paul will stay.
According to Manchester Evening News, Gary said to Sky Sports: “I’m not confident but at the same time I haven’t heard anything that suggests he’s definitely going.
“In my view United took a hit on [Angel] Di Maria. Are they really going to do that again with Pogba? It’s a big, big call to sell him.
“You could put off the big players you’re trying to attract to the club as well. I hope he stays and it works out for him.”
Jose has a lot to do this summer in terms of transfers but it’s not just about who he can help bring in but also who he can keep at the club.
The Spaniard and former Juventus man are the two who must be kept at all costs though United fans surely would love to hold onto the former AS Monaco man too.
