Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku will miss Manchester United’s final two games of the season with injury.
The striker went off early in the second half of Man United’s 2-1 win over Arsenal with a knock to his ankle.
He has been working hard in Belgium to recover in time for the FA Cup final and noted earlier this week that he was returning to full fitness quicker than expected.
But the boss has claimed Lukaku will not return in time for games against West Ham United and Watford, adding that the club was working to get him fit for the FA Cup final on May 19.

Even if Lukaku had fully recovered by now it is unlikely Mourinho would have thrown him in for either game over the next few days, but you can only hope that the 24-year-old’s absence for three games doesn’t disrupt the flow of the team when it comes to the meeting with Chelsea.
Antonio Conte, on the other hand, has a striker bang in form in the form of Olivier Giroud. Supporters will just hope that, firstly, Lukaku gets back to full fitness and, just as importantly, hits the ground running at Wembley.
