Jose Mourinho tells players they can leave if they want to: report

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly told his players they can leave the club if they want to in his post-season team talk.

The Portuguese manager has cut an increasingly frustrated figure in the run-in towards the end of the current campaign and appears to have lost his patience with a number of players.

Mourinho’s lack of faith in certain squad members could see another overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United are said to be interested in revamping their defence and midfield but the former Real Madrid boss addressed his whole squad.

To make things even more serious, he did so in front of the staff members to make his message as clear as possible

The squad meeting is reminiscent of something that Sir Alex Ferguson would do as the legendary Scotsman would often lock horns with his players and come out on top.

Jose is well aware that the pressure is seriously on for him in his third season with the club as nothing short of a title win will do.

After Pep Guardiola led Manchester City to a record points total and an easy Premier League win, the Red Devils fan base has expected even more from him.
