Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has admitted to not wanting Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to leave with reports swirling around their respective futures.

The two youngsters have seen their futures come into question with the recent arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window.

The Chilean was brought in because of his quality but there was also hope he’d slot into the right wing to finally claim that spot.

Unfortunately Sanchez has looked best cutting in from the left hand side despite Jose Mourinho trying to accommodate him as a striker and even an attacking midfielder.

The decision has meant less minutes were handed to Martial and Rashford and Scholes is fearful of their futures at the club.

According to Give Me Sport, Paul said to talkSPORT: “I know they’re good players, they’re really talented players.

“Those two especially, I just don’t want them to be players who leave and turn out to be sensational, because you can easily see that happening.”

The context of his quotes however come during a time he stated that should any of the current United players be unhappy at the club then they should be allowed to leave.

Anthony is the one who’s said to be upset more than Marcus and so he’s been linked with a move to Juventus for several months now.

The Red Devils fan base has made it clear how they feel on the potential transfer and there’s hope the former AS Monaco man can still win over the manager.
