Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is a little skeptical of Gareth Bale’s potential move to his former club.
The Welshman sparked rumours of joining Jose Mourinho‘s side after admitting the need to be playing week in and week out.
Bale has struggled to do so this season for Real Madrid and so it appears he’s unhappy with his match time, leaving the door open for United to swoop in for him.
Whether it’s serious interest or just a way for the former Tottenham man to guarantee minutes at the Spanish capital is yet to be seen.
Scholes himself thinks it would obviously be a great transfer but simply doesn’t see it happening.
According to Breaking News, Paul said: “Can I see it [Bale transfer] happening? No, not really. The only reason he’d want to leave Real Madrid would be if they wanted him to go.
“Could he come to Man United then? I hope so. Every United fan would want him: great ability, great talent, scores great goals.
“If it’s possible then, yeah, great, I hope it happens. But I don’t see it happening.”
Gareth would certainly add quality to the Red Devils’ already star studded line-up but it is difficult to believe he would leave Madrid.
The talented winger just scored the winning goals in a Champions League final for his side while Mourinho’s men were knocked out of the competition ages ago by Sevilla.
There are a couple of things to attract Gareth Bale though such as Manchester United’s history, the wages he could get and the obvious offer of minutes whenever he’s fit at Old Trafford.
