Matteo Darmian spotted in Italy ahead of final Juventus talks

Manchester United right-back Matteo Darmian has been spotted in Italy ahead of his imminent summer move to Juventus.

The Serie A giants have agreed on a €12m fee with Man United to take Darmian back to Turin after he left rivals Torino for Old Trafford in 2015.

Darmian was brought to the club by Louis van Gaal to provide strong competition for Antonio Valencia but has fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho and now looks almost certain to depart.

A video emerged on Thursday night of him and his wife Francesca Cormanni entering a restaurant in Milan, with talks regarding personal terms set to take place on Friday.

Many are speculating that the city he’s in could mean a return to old club AC Milan could be on the cards, but it’s worth noting Juventus officials have meeting players in Milan – unsettled Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata met Juventus director Fabio Paratici there last month.

United could be back in negotiations with Juve soon, with Jose Mourinho interested in signing left-back Alex Sandro as a replacement for Luke Shaw, who is also expected to leave Manchester along with Daley Blind.

Darmian’s replacement seemingly already been decided, as 19-year-old FC Porto right-back Diogo Dalot is set to complete his move to United next week after the club triggered his €20m release clause.
