Steaua Burcuresti president Gigi Becali has claimed that Manchester United want to sign their young star Dennis Man.
The versatile player is apparently a target of Jose Mourinho‘s and while it’s come as a bit of a surprise, it’s not entirely a shock.
Man is a right-winger who is also capable of playing in attacking midfield and as a striker, meaning he ticks several boxes for the Portuguese manager.
Mourinho recently went to watch the Romanian national team to scout the youngster according to some reports.
Becali appears to confirm those rumours by claiming United are interested in Dennis and even revealed his asking price.
According to Metro, Gigi said: “Manchester United asked me about Dennis Man and I want €30million (£26m). I know that they won’t pay this amount, but the player isn’t for sale.”
£26m is actually not a lot of money considering today’s market for a promising youngster though many fans haven’t even heard of him before.
Jose just spent a little less than that according to reports for his latest signing in Diogo Dalot who is also someone who’s got tonnes of potential and was a relative unknown, having hardly played any first team football for Porto.
The former Real Madrid manager is said to be keen on adding some depth to his attacking options with a back-up striker and right-winger the targeted positions meaning Dennis Man fits the bill perfectly.
