Antonio Valencia has been enjoying some much needed time off after Ecuador failed to qualify for the World Cup.
The 32-year-old once again served as Manchester United’s first choice right back and de facto skipper last season, producing solid if somewhat unremarkable displays out wide.
He is currently enjoying himself in the Caribbean, recharging the batteries ahead of what could be his final season at Old Trafford. And he has reunited with a teammate who has long since moved on from Old Trafford – Luis Nani.
The pair enjoyed five seasons together, often competing for the same position, and were reunited on the luscious beaches of the Bahamas to enjoy another kick-about in surroundings slightly different to that of Carrington.
“We can do this all day without the ball falling, never lose that smile, it was a pleasure to see you brother,” Valencia wrote on social media.
Nani’s touch is still as naturally potent as ever, even throwing in a chest for good measure. The Portuguese, still just 31, spent last season at Lazio on loan from Valencia.
My personally favourite bit of this is how Valencia, even during a lighthearted kick-about on the beach, still insists on only using his right foot.
