Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has opened up about the injury he sustained with England while away on international duty, revealing he knew just how to recover in time.
The academy product was at risk of missing out on the Three Lions’ first World Cup fixture against Tunisia but was named on the bench and was even substituted onto the pitch.
Rashford managed to add some spark to his nation’s game as he tends to do but couldn’t get on the scoresheet to make things a little more comfortable than the 2-1 scoreline.
Harry Kane was the hero on the day, grabbing a brace to steal all three points though it’s fair to say they deserved more than what the scoreline suggests.
Footballers playing matches with little niggles or knocks is nothing new but it’s unlikely to make Jose Mourinho happy to hear what Marcus said.
The young striker needs to return to his club still fit following his adventures in the World Cup so that he can gain some momentum ahead of the next campaign.
