Manchester United have registered their interest in the services of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports from France.
Ndombele signed with Lyon permanently over the summer after impressing for the Ligue 1 side on loan from Amiens last season, making 47 appearances in total.
And according to M.E.N‘s Richard Fay, Man United view Ndombele as a good fit for the profile Mourinho is after this summer and would be able to sign him for a nominal fee.
Lyon are reluctant to let Ndombele leave having only very recently secured his signature on a permanent basis and seen him blossom under the tutelage of Bruno Genesio. Not many loan signings slot straight into the starting XI at their new club but such was the case with Ndombele, whose remarkable engine and intelligence on the pitch has clearly appealed to Mourinho.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was the club’s first choice for this profile but Lazio’s £100m valuation of the midfielder has put them off. Lorenzo Pellegrini, Mateo Kovacic and Aleksandr Golovin have all been reportedly viewed as potential options for this position as well.
