Manchester United legend Bryan Robson predicts Marcus Rashford is set to stay at the club for many more years to come amid rumours of a potential departure.
The Englishman has been linked with various moves such as permanent ones to Chelsea or Tottenham as well as some remarkable loan moves to so called smaller Premier League sides.
Having already broken through to the United first team, a temporary move away seems absurd but the claims are that Rashford’s unhappy with his match time.
Fans have seen the likes of Danny Welbeck and James Wilson have false dawns before moving on or dropping back down to the younger age groups but Robson doesn’t believe the 20 year old is the same.
Marcus is widely tipped to become a world beater once he develops completely but there have been some concerns he’s not being given enough game time.
According to the Republik of Mancunia, Bryan said: “We have seen young strikers come in and do well at United, only to disappear, but Marcus had that special something that made you believe he was here to stay and I think he’ll be with United and England for years to come.
“Rashford’s understanding of the forward position has been helped by the fact he started out as a winger and he fits perfectly into Southgate’s system.
“He’s a strong kid and I am sure he will cause Panama and others a lot of problems.”
Despite making around 50 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils, around only half have come as starts and so rumours started to grow on Rashford’s desire to leave.
Fortunately the player himself hasn’t publicly stated anything that would suggest he wants to leave and he’s under a manager who clearly rates him highly.
