Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has opened up on his potentially career ending injury, stating that he decides how his story ends and not an injury.
The Swede suffered a terrible injury at the end of his first season at Old Trafford with many believing it wouldn’t only be the final game for him for the club but for his career.
Ibrahimovic was subsequently released by United with many stating that it was proof that there’s no way he could recover and that if he would, he wouldn’t be the same.
The former PSG striker was however re-signed by Jose Mourinho later on last year and though he wasn’t a crucial presence on the pitch, a lot of it had to do with Romelu Lukaku’s performances.
The Belgian was performing so well for the Portuguese manager that it was soon decided it was best for Zlatan to move on in order to get his deserved game time and he found that in the MLS.
It’s fair to say that the former Barcelona man has already made an impact in the United States of America and there’s no telling just how his story there will end, though initial signs point to a few more years left in him.
