Manchester United consider AC Milan’s Leonardo Bonucci: report

Manchester United are reportedly considering making an approach for AC Milan’s Leonardo Bonucci in a bid to improve their defence ahead of the next Premier League season.

Jose Mourniho has already publicly stated his targets in this summer transfer window is to improve his defence and midfield which he has addressed so far by bringing in Fred and Diogo Dalot.

However, it appears he’s unsatisfied with the work done so far in terms of his defence and will look to add an experienced star in the form of Bonucci.

The Italian international has only just joined AC Milan last summer but could potentially be tempted away due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Leonardo is 31 years of age, leaving him with not too many years left at the top and so could bid to depart from the Serie A giants in search of more silverware.

There’s no telling how much he will cost though his age should work in the Red Devils favour and should he push for a move it could help things as well.

However, AC Milan are unlikely to want to sell and so won’t sell cheap if they must so will Jose Mourinho break the bank for an ageing star?
