Paul Scholes has claimed he would’ve been happy to have featured for Manchester United just once let alone the countless times he did for the first team.
The Englishman was unusually open on his time at Old Trafford while on television for BeIn, stating that simply becoming a footballer was already a dream come true.
Scholes was asked about what it was like to play for United, to come through the youth ranks and to become an internationally recognised legend.
The former midfielder was one of, if not the best, in the world in his position during his peak and was even said to have been studied by the famous Barcelona academy.
Despite achieving all that he did throughout his career, Paul insisted even if he only made a single appearance for the Red Devils, he would’ve been satisfied.
Sir Alex Ferguson often spoke about putting in the graft and hard work during playing careers or managerial careers and only relaxing to enjoy it when fully retired.
It appears that Scholes is experiencing that at the moment and has reflected on his past multiple times since becoming a pundit after hanging up his boots several years ago.
