Clubs line up to sign Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Victor Lindelof is reportedly a wanted man with clubs lining up to sign him on loan following his impressive performances in the World Cup.

Sweden reached the quarter-finals of the competition, further than many predicted them to reach and much of their good play was centered on the former Benfica man.

The European nation were only knocked out by Gareth Southgate’s England side 2-0 but were one of the more impressive countries at the tournament.

Lindelof embodied most of their good qualities such as their efficiency on the ball, their work-rate and their solid defending.

Unfortunately, despite his performances the centre-back is still on the loan list as Jose Mourinho attempts to revamp his United squad this summer.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Sun claim Benfica and a host of other clubs want sign Victor from the Red Devils on a temporary basis.

Mourinho is understood to be on the lookout for an experienced, proven centre-back and with Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo already employed, someone had to be moved on.

It appears Lindelof has been the one chosen to departure temporarily which will certainly disappoint him should the reports prove to be true.
