Manchester United are reportedly chasing after two of Croatia’s international heroes in Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic this summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho’s desire to sign the former is no surprise since he’s even publicly discussed the wish to do so and admitted confusion as to why the Inter Milan man didn’t make the switch previously.
Perisic was seen as the cheaper alternative to Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and it was understood that United couldn’t come to an agreement with the Italian giant’s about the transfer fee.
However, Mourinho made it seem as though it was a personal choice so it’ll be interesting to see whether the Croat still decides against the move.
Rebic meanwhile has been one of his nation’s in form players so there’s no real shock that the Portuguese manager is linked with interest.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Sun report that the Red Devils are willing to splash the cash on Ante and Ivan, spending a total of £92m on the pair.
However, there are some fans confused by the reports due to Jose’s insistence that he’s happy with his attacking players and won’t invest in any.
It’s believed the key area that’s to be addressed this summer is the defence and with only Diogo Dalot coming so far, there’s plenty of work left to do.
