Manchester United fans couldn’t hide their excitement following Tahith Chong’s performance vs Club America in the opening fixture of the pre-season.
Jose Mourinho took his side to the United States of America once again but this time around he’s missing numerous stars due to their involvements with the World Cup.
Some supporters may well be thankful those players were given an extended holiday as it may have meant Chong would’ve never featured for United.
Though he did not start the match, the winger was crucial in the match ending 1-1 rather than win for Club America who posed their fair share of a threat.
Tahith may not be a well known name to some fans but he’s certainly peeked their interest after his inspiring substitute appearance.

Terrific cross from Chong for the goal. Has looked sharp since coming on.

Think it's safe to say Chong is the next Ronaldo

Chong played 15 seconds and is our best RW

If José doesn’t include Chong into the first team I’m going to fight him.

Mourinho was said to be in search of a winger for some time now with both Gareth Bale and Ivan Perisic both being touted as possible buys.
However, the Portuguese may reconsider and instead invest in the potential Chong clearly showed on the pitch against Club America.
Certainly he’s got no business being a regular starting XI player yet but he could provide adequate cover to stars such as Anthony Martial or Juan Mata.
