Manchester United fans were encouraged by what they saw from Alexis Sanchez vs San Jose Earthquakes in his first pre-season fixture for the summer.
The Chilean missed the club’s first match against Club America due to have visa issues that didn’t allow him to enter the United States of America.
Thankfully that’s been resolved and he got a decent 65 minutes under his belt where he did enough to impress fans in what ultimately proved to be a bore, goalless draw.
Sanchez though will be keen to gel with his teammates and fully adapt to his new club since struggling to impress after his move from Arsenal in January.
With plenty to prove, this upcoming season is a crucial one for the former Barcelona man who will be gunning for double figures in goals and assists.
Can't believe i wasted 90 mins of my life watching that not even a single goal against a team bottom of their league. Awful game to watch. Pereira and Sanchez played decent tho. The rest were not on it today.

Sanchez and Periera were decent, everyone else looks off the pace. Martial was terrible as a lone striker.

Sanchez, who's been #mufc's best player, comes off after 65 minutes for Mason Greenwood.

Everyone has been crap bar Pereira and Sanchez

It may only be pre-season but Sanchez showing why he’s selected ahead of Martial last season

Alexis has so far been given time to settle in with no real expectations placed on him since he arrived but now the pressure is on.
The Red Devils are expected to mount a serious title challenge and close the gap on fierce rivals Manchester City with the winger central to it all.
Should Sanchez be fit and firing, there’s no telling how far he can lead Jose Mourinho’s men in the upcoming campaign.
