Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona star Yerry Mina as they edge closer towards completing a deal.
The Colombian emerged as a surprise target of Jose Mourinho’s following interest in Leicester City’s Harry Maguire cooling down.
United were initially chasing Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld but couldn’t agree with the club on a transfer fee and so moved on to the Englishman.
Leicester were reluctant to let go of their star man and were said to be unwilling to sell unless Mourinho forked up around £75m.
Of course that was never going to happen so the Portuguese manager moved on to Mina after he impressed with his performances at the World Cup.
According to Manchester Evening News, Mundo Deportivo report the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with Yerry worth £145k per week before tax on a five year deal.
As great as it is to get personal terms agreed, a move still can’t happen unless a transfer fee is agreed upon and it’s said the two clubs are £5m apart.
Manchester United are also reportedly still chasing Alderweireld’s signature and will only confirm Mina’s move if they’re sure the Tottenham man won’t come to Old Trafford this summer.
