PSG join race to sign Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo: report

PSG are reportedly joining the race to sign Manchester United star Marcos Rojo with the transfer window slamming shut within a weeks time.

The Argentine is said to be the dispensable player in the squad as Jose Mourinho scrambles to put together a good enough team for a title challenge.

The Portuguese manager wanted to bring in two more signings before the summer window ends but admitted he would probably only be able to get one in.

That one signing is believed to be a centre-back but before he can invest in one, he has to get rid of one as he’s overstocked in that area.

Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Rojo are all fighting for just two spots in the starting XI.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Sun report PSG as potential suitors for Marcos as the race for his signature heats up though Everton are still the favourites.

With the Red Devils reportedly chasing Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, it could be that the transfer of the former Sporting man is the only way to make it happen.

The Belgian would add certain quality and leadership to an otherwise lacking defence that has looked shaky in the past few seasons.
