Marcos Rojo‘s potential loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce this month hinges on whether they get past Benfica in a Champions League qualifier this evening.
The Argentine missed out on Manchester United’s pre-season tour with injury and is expected to move away over the summer having only managed nine league appearances last season.
Reports from Turkey have emerged this week suggesting the possibility of Rojo moving to Fenerbahce on a loan basis this season.
Fenerbahce take on Benfica at home this evening in a tie they are losing 1-0 after the first leg in Portugal. And the defender will move to the Turkish side should they progress, whereas defeat would knock any deal off the table.
If Fenerbahce progress in the Champions League tonight they will look more seriously into signing Marcos Rojo.
If they don't, they won't.

Rojo will, you suspect, want to continue playing for club in the Champions League this season. Games like these for Fenerbahce have the power to shape an entire season, to mark out what kind of squad they will have come deadline day.
For the 28-year-old, the next couple of weeks are so important. Regular football at Old Trafford won’t come his way this season. He needs to ensure he moves to a club capable of giving him the platform to progress following a difficult year.
