Alexis Sanchez hasn’t had it easy since joining Manchester United from Arsenal in the January transfer window but supporters and former players are still confident he’ll come good this season.
The 29-year-old arrived as part of a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan midway through last term but struggled to instantly fit in and was widely criticised.
Ex-Man United defender Wes Brown is confident that Alexis will only get better from now on after his first summer away from football in almost a decade prompted superb performances throughout pre-season.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Brown expressed the faith he has in the Chile international to shine: “I don’t think it’s not working. We all have faith in him, he was a fantastic player at Arsenal, he got bought in January.
“It takes a while to settle in and after one game I don’t think you can really say that. But you know he’s a fantastic talent and I’m sure he’ll be getting better all the time.”
After an uninspiring performance against Leicester City last week, he’ll be looking to impress during United’s next challenge down at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
