Manchester United fans were definitely disappointed by the weak performance that was put in by the players vs Brighton.
Jose Mourinho’s men headed out for their second fixture of the season looking to build momentum by winning twice in a row.
United however failed to inspire in the first half and quickly saw themselves concede twice in a defensive nightmare of a shift.
Romelu Lukaku managed to pull one back only for Brighton to get a penalty and convert to put even more pressure on Mourinho.
In one of the most shocking halves under the Portuguese manager, supporters couldn’t be more unhappy with how it went.
United's right flank consists of right mid Juan Mata (originally CAM) & right back Ashley Young (originally LW).
Anyone with a working brain would know our weakness & from which area we are most likely are to concede from. We had months to address this and we failed to do so.

Safe to say, for those with any lingering doubt, Mourinho was right and Woodward was wrong about #mufc needing another defender.

Weak-minded players that cannot handle a bit of pressure. #MUFC

I was abused, laughed at, and worse in June when I highlighted several problems at #MUFC. I don’t want Mourinho to fail, and people said ‘judge when season starts,’ but the manager set the tone on tour. Players are making mistakes but overall he’s failing to get best from them.

Cant remember the last time we were that bad #MUFC

Martial, Fred and Pereira off please. We need a miracle in the second half to salvage this game. What have I just watched? #MUFC

Jose tried to make changes at half-time to inspire a comeback but the team failed to immediately respond, or at least in the first minutes of the second half.
The former Chelsea manager made it clear he had intentions to bring in a centre-half to address a weakness in his squad but unfortunately it didn’t happen over the summer.
Mourinho’s sides are normally known for being defensively solid but both this performance and the one against Leicester City wouldn’t have been inspiring.
Brighton in particular identified and exploited the Red Devils’ weaknesses to great effect.
