Diogo Dalot confirms he’s nearly ready for his Manchester United debut

by Marwan Harraz

One of Manchester United’s latest signings Diogo Dalot seems to confirm he’s nearly ready for his debut.

The youngster has failed to make an appearance for his new club even in pre-season due to suffering an injury ahead of his arrival.

Dalot’s debut has been highly anticipated, particularly since Antonio Valencia has also suffered an injury.

The Portuguese was labelled the best full-back of his age by Jose Mourinho which has supporters even more excited to see him in action.

Diogo wasn’t expected to be a part of the starting XI as early as Monday night’s fixture against Tottenham but perhaps he could be.

Although he’s capable of playing on either flank, the former Porto man is said to be a right-back first and foremost.

Since Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are battling it out this season on the left-back spot, it seems Dalot and Valencia will be doing the same on the other side.

Some fans have grown frustrated by the Ecuadorian’s seemingly sudden inability to cross anymore and so they’re hoping to see more of that from their new signing.

Mourinho also spoke about how supporters should get used to seeing Antonio on the sidelines due to his age.
