The Manchester United board have reportedly made decision involving Jose Mourinho and January with claims he will be backed in the winter market.
The Portuguese manager was clearly disgruntled that his decisions in the summer window weren’t supported and he thus failed to get his transfers.
United made only one major signing in Fred while they added depth with the transfers of Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.
Nonetheless, Mourinho spoke about how he still wanted two new faces before the window ended but was left empty handed.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Sun claim the Red Devils’ board will back Jose in the January transfer window but will only sign those they consider good value for money.
Though it’s good to hear the former Chelsea manager will be backed, it seems the same problems will continue to remain.
Fans and probably Mourinho himself took issue with how the board deemed certain players he wanted were not good enough decisions.
The board have to either fully trust his decision making or sack him and bring in someone they do trust so the club can move forward.
