<—Article Start—>Timothy Fosu-Mensah is delighted with his first win of the 2018-19 season after Fulham toppled Burnley 4-2 at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The 20-year-old stole the headlines and instantly earned supporters’ respect with a tremendous display as he showed his pedigree as a marauding right-back and demonstrated great crossing ability throughout the whole match.
It’s Fosu-Mensah’s second straight year playing his football in London after a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace last season where he thrived as a centre-back under Roy Hodgson.
He was loaned out to Fulham this summer, despite many Manchester United fans believing he has a play to part in Jose Mourinho’s plans, where he’ll gain even more crucial Premier League experience.
Fulham have looked impressive on their return to the top-flight, even though Sunday’s triumph was their first of the campaign, and look to be a free-scoring side under Slavisa Jokanovic who has clearly already improved Fosu-Mensah’s attacking game.
Many thought the young Dutchman was going to play a part this season at Old Trafford until Mourinho sanctioned a £19m move for F.C. Porto right-back Diogo Dalot who is now back-up for captain Antonio Valencia.
Fosu-Mensah’s future is mightily bright though and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him continue to impress this term.<—Article End—>
