Luke Shaw left the pitch on a stretcher during England’s friendly with Spain at Wembley after a collision.
The Manchester United defender collapsed onto the turf and looked in a bad way as the game was stopped for five minutes while Shaw received medical treatment.

Shaw has had such horrible injury problems over the last few years that all Man United fans, and fans of other clubs, will be hoping the treatment and stretcher was nothing more than a precaution for Shaw.
It would be such a cruel blow for Shaw to suffer a fresh injury having just broken back into the England team after a wonderful start to the season with United that saw him named August Player of the Month.
When you look at the injury, it is simply an accident and no malice but it looked painful – especially Shaw’s head hitting the floor and when it comes to head injuries, you cannot take any shortcuts so nobody would have been surprised to see him leave on a stretcher.
We will bring you updates on Shaw’s injury when they happen.
Update: The early signs are good for Shaw. He is awake and spoke on the phone to his family informing them he is OK.
Positive noises about Shaw. Obviously formal checks needed for any head injury but early signs good.
