Manchester United vs Valencia: Early confirmed team news

Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young will all miss Manchester United’s crucial Champions League clash with Valencia this evening due to injury.

Young picked up an injury during Man United’s dismal 3-1 defeat at West Ham United last weekend and will be replaced by either Diogo Dalot or Antonio Valencia.

A win over Valencia will restore some much needed belief in this bedraggled team and, just as importantly, put United six points ahead of the La Liga side, the chief competitor for second place in the group behind Juventus.

Here is the complete confirmed team news for the first Champions League game at Old Trafford this season.

De Gea, Romero, Grant

Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Darmian, Dalot, Jones, Bailly

Fred, McTominay, Mata, Fellaini, Matic, Pogba, Pereira

Sanchez, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku
